West Coaster was bred for its high turf quality. It also has great disease resistance, good salt tolerance, can withstand heat up to 110 degrees F, and is slower growing. "This grass has many positives, but one of the most important to us is its drought tolerance. It uses less water than the older tall fescue varieties," Foster said.
